Keeping Track of Your Kids At Disney - Giveaway (Ended 12/31/11)

The next time you head to Disney with kids, here's an innovative way to easily keep visual track of them - and them, of you!  Why not try wearing matching striped shirts?   (Oh, how I wish there were a castle in the background, but you get the idea...)

Red and white go particularly well with Minnie Mouse ears!

When the Striped Shirts founder approached me with this idea, I instantly loved it!  You know what the crowds can be like in a busy theme park.  When you are hot and tired at the end of a fun filled day, and your 4 year old darts off toward something that catches their eye ... will you remember instantly, as you scan the crowd in a panic, what they were wearing?

Or maybe even more useful - when your child realizes they are no longer standing next to their parent ... will they be able to scan the crowds and spot YOU right away?

Enter the matching striped shirts!

Check out the cute patch logo, found on each lower shirt corner.
My employer holds a "bring your kids to work day" annually.  Last year, one of the sessions they held for the kids was the Hug A Tree program.  Living in Colorado, it's fairly standard issue training to educate school age children on what to do in case of being lost in a forest.  The message is simple:  hug a tree - stay in one place, until they find you.  In the Search and Rescue Trainer's case, the scariest occasion of him losing his young daughter did not take place in a forest.  It took place at Disneyland!

Even the packaging is cool.

StripedShirt.com was actually founded for the purpose of  providing fun, fashionable fan-wear for women, kids, and babies to support their team.  But they are so fantastic ... I knew all my Disney readers could see the additional potential!

Generous length, past the hips

Did I miss the memo?  Cause I'm confused now - why have I never had a quality, jersey knit shirt before?  These are incredible soft, such a nice weight to them, and are so very comfortable!  I love it.

And how cute will those family vacation pictures be - with grandma, mom, and all the kiddos dressed the same?

  • Currently, shirts are available in 10 color combinations, nearly all in 13 sizes, from baby 3 mo to women XL
  • Made of high quality cotton jersey knit with 5% Lycra for stretch, to keep shape, to prevent shrinking
  • Vibrant color - dye yarn knit weaving of 2 color combinations
  • Stylish, comfortable fit – none too tight crew neckline, flattering short sleeves, long enough to cover any muffin tops
  • Tagless at the neck, cute logo’ed tag with details on side seam
  • Subtle stripedshirt patch on bottom outside corner of shirt
... ok, that was the list off the Striped Shirt website.  But I have personally confirmed that every one of the features are described accurately!  I absolutely love the feel - super soft, not really even like a t-shirt, more of a quality knit.   Comfortable, cute, and very flattering - what more can a girl ask for?

Now the best part:  Striped Shirt has agreed to offer a GIVEAWAY to my readers!  One winner will receive 2 free shirts, in any size and color of their choice!

Enter today - giveaway ends at midnight on 12/31/11.

  1. What a fun idea! I think I'd love it even more if it were a sundress... I don't wear t-shirts as a rule, but I'd be willing to give it a try!
I like the red/white combo for Disney World or Disneyland because of the obvious Minnie connection, but the red/grey would also be nice.
I'd give the matching shirt to my 4yo son, because he's more likely to get lost than my 6yo daughter (speaking from experience at Magic Kingdom, BTW!).

  4. I like red/gray - white, even in stripe form is a magnet for stains. It would definitely be for DD & me for our next WDW trip, which is coming up soon. So excited - the kids don't know yet. Hoping to keep it a secret until the day we go!

  8. This is a great idea. I know of some parents that have all their kids wear matching clothes...helps you keep track of them and if you lose one child you know what they were wearing! I usually have my son wear an orange hat. It's ugly but I can keep track of him :)
